Dear inquiring Colleague!
This year the human embrionic stem cell research network of EU, called ESTOOLS will organize its 2nd official congress in Budapest. The venue of the congress is: the new Europe Congress Center (H1021 Budapest, Harshegyi str. 5-7, HUNGARY).
Following the private meeting of the network directors, the international and the hungarian audience are welcome both to the OPEN SCIENTIFIC SYMPOSIUM ON STEM CELLS (4th June 2008) and a locally initiated satellite symposium called HUNGARIAN STEM CELL WORKSHOP (5th June 2008).
The latter is organized with the support of the Hungarian Society of Biochemistry and the Hungarian Society of Cellular- and Developmental Biology and considered as the direct sequel of the succesful scientific symposium Stem cell research in focus organized by Biomedica Hungary Ltd. in March 2007.
The mission of the open 2-day symposium is: to deliver knowledge and to make scientific policy here and now, surrounded by the wondrous visions of magical therapies flowing through the channels of the mass communication media everywhere; although the stem cell as morphological and functional entity is not clearly defined even by the scientific specialists.
The aim of the Hungarian Stem Cell Workshop joined to the european symposium is to colligate the research on stem cells in Hungary, to naturalize the results of the european labs in our region and to integrate the hungarian achievements into the european research.
The hungarian satellite workshop covers two major subjects: the academic issues of stem cell biology and the therapic adaptations of stem cells. The members of the hungarian Program Committee are: Balázs Sarkadi, Emília Madarasz and Elen Gócza.
We are looking forward to see those inquiring colleagues from the basic research to the clinics who are interested in both the molecular base of stem cell research and the medical ethic related issues.
Lecturers are the thought key opinion leaders of the field in Hungary; in addition to, ESTOOLS will do honour to us with 2 plenary lectures.
Beside the invited lectures we expect and welcome the results of the hungarian workgroups in a poster session.
The Hungarian Stem Cell Workshop is a professionally accredited symposium which provides credit point aquisition possibility in the PhD education.
Please, take a look at the forming program and register online herebelow, thank you.
Looking forward to see you soon,
with kind regards:
