Dear Colleagues!
It is a pleasure to inform all dear colleagues taking part already regularly in the Conference on Membrane-Transport, as well as those planning to take part in these programmes in the future, that our next traditional Conference on Membrane-Transport will be organized in Sümeg, between 19-22 May, 2009.
Among the main topics of our conference in 2009, there are electron transfer connected to membrane, cell death and mithochondrium, organisation of membrane and lipidomics, as well as statements on studies concerning molecular mechanism of networks. Of course, organizers will accept any posters demonstrating results of research work in cell biology, molecular biology and biochemistry with pleasure, in case, these are in connection with membranes and biological transport processes.
Our aim with this programme is to carry over domestic consultant supervisors of these topics from research institutes of universities, of the Academy of Sciences or of the drug industry to present their results.
Because of the multidisciplinary feature of the Membrane-Transport Conference, it has always been a special attraction to show results of the domestic research. A wide spectrum of interest among the participants (biochemistry, cell biology, biophysics, immunology, genetics, physiology, pharmacology) provides a range of possibilities to effective exchange of views of professionals working in the fields of basic, clinical and applied research. Among the participants, there is a wide range of researcher-generations (senior researchers, founders of this conference, internationally recognized research leaders, PhD students or students preparing their dissertations for their first degree), that is why the conference is an excellent postgraduate forum for the young researchers. Combined with a friendly and familiar atmosphere, this meeting will also contribute to the success of this serial of conferences looking back to decades. Organizers will do their best to add more to this positive tradition during the programme this year. Our dear participants are welcome to our renewed social programme.
The central venue of the conference, similarly to the previous years, will be Hotel Kapitány. All the lectures, poster-sections and exhibitions can be organized to this single site.
Any other information, concerning on-line registration, accommodation possibilities, ordering accommodation, sending abstracts, can be reached by clicking menu-points on the left side.
Announcement for a competition for the Tibor Kovács Prize:
As in the previous years, Tibor Kovács prize will be given by the committee for two young researchers under 35 years on the basis of the abstracts and professional CV sent by the competitors.
The winners will give their 20 minutes’ lectures (including the discussions about the lectures as well) on the first day of the conference, after the opening ceremony. The deadline of sending the applications is 20th March, 2009. Competitors are asked to send their applications to the e-mail address of the professional-organizer (banhegyi@unisi.it).
Yours sincerely
